Sayed-Mohamad-Azad Mehdi Madjd-Sadjadi
landscape designer

Azad joined Viridian as a landscape designer with experience in the design of business parks, higher-end commercial, and wide range of urban projects. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2005 and began his career with a firm in San Diego, California. Trading in sunshine for seasons, Azad moved to Portland and joined Viridian Environmental Design in early 2007. His skills as a designer and as a bike messenger have been of great benefit to the team at Viridian Environmental Design.

Azad enjoys working on projects that focus on both socially and environmentally responsible design. To that end, he has donated his design services to a school in Ethiopia with Architects Without Borders. If he finds any free time, he uses it to paint, bike, and travel. You can often hear Azad cursing the rain in public, but playing in it when no one is looking.
