Brian joined Viridian Environmental Design as a principal in 2006 and has 14 years of professional design experience in landscape architecture. He has worked on a wide range of project types throughout the United States, as well as in several European and Asian countries. While developing an expertise in the design of urban spaces, parks and open spaces, and civic landscapes, Brian has focused his career on the integration of ecological and sustainable site design with well designed places for people.

Growing up in western Colorado, Brian was heavily influenced by the stark contrast of the Rocky Mountains with the high desert, and in the simplicity of its landscape. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, he worked in Nashville and Baltimore before finding his home, and family, in Oregon. When he isn't chasing his kids around, you'll find him puttering around in his new vegetable gardens or trying to perfect his favorite pizza crust.
